Baseball Recap: Rockhurst Takes a Loss

Rockhurst was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blue Springs South Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawklets of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Rockhurst's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Blue Springs South, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockhurst will take on Creighton Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Blue Springs South, they will face off against Raymore-Peculiar at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
