The Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 57-20 loss at the hands of Valor Academy. Lake Balboa College Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-4.
Despite the defeat, Lake Balboa College Prep saw an underclassman step up: TYRONE NASIBIAN-WINBORN scored two points along with six steals.
Lake Balboa College Prep's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-3. As for Valor Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Balboa College Prep will challenge Magnolia Science Academy Reseda at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Valor Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
