Basketball Recap: Harrisonville Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Harrisonville Wildcats were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-52 to the Richmond Spartans.

Richmond's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nolan Quick, who went 10-for-17 en route to 26 points. That's the most points Quick has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards.

Harrisonville's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Richmond, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Harrisonville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-27 victory against Lone Jack on the 11th. As for Richmond, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-37 win against Knob Noster on the 11th.
