Flagstaff is 9-1 against Mohave since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Flagstaff Eagles take on Mohave Thunderbirds at 11:00 a.m. Flagstaff is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Last Monday, Flagstaff came up short against Mohave Accelerated and fell 10-6.

Ryleigh Alex made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucy Lansens, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Mohave was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They lost 14-1 to Bradshaw Mountain.

Mohave's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Flagstaff, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Flagstaff took their victory against Mohave in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-2. Will Flagstaff repeat their success, or does Mohave has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
