Soccer Game Preview: Clare vs. Gladwin

The Clare Pioneers will head out on the road to challenge the Gladwin Flying G at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Clare and seven for Gladwin.

Clare fell victim to Ogemaw Heights and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. That's two games in a row now that Clare have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Gladwin lost 4-1 to Calvary Baptist Academy on Monday.

Gladwin's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Clare, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Clare beat Gladwin 3-1 when the teams last played on September 8th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
