Baseball Recap: Auburn Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Nodaway last Thursday, Auburn came back down to earth. Auburn lost 11-1 to the Ralston Rams on Saturday. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Auburn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Casey, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Auburn now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Ralston, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Auburn will venture away from home to take on Nebraska City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ralston, they will head out to face off against Malcolm at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Malcolm's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Ralston's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
