Softball Game Preview: Delmarva Christian Royals vs. Dover Senators

The Delmarva Christian Royals will venture away from home to challenge the Dover Senators at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Delmarva Christian came up short against Caesar Rodney on Friday, falling 8-2. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Delmarva Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Lowe, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Dover's offense. They lost 11-0 to Milford on Thursday. The Senators have struggled against the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Dover's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Delmarva Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Everything went Delmarva Christian's way against Dover in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Delmarva Christian made off with a 14-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
