Soccer Game Preview: Benjamin vs. American Heritage

The Benjamin Buccaneers will head out on the road to square off against the American Heritage Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Benjamin came into their game back in November off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Ransom Everglades.

Meanwhile, American Heritage and Olympic Heights combined for 17 shots on goal on Tuesday, which explains the impressive five total goals scored. The Stallions fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2.

Mateo Kurkcuoglu wasn't going to let Olympic Heights walk away unscathed as he scored both of American Heritage's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

American Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Benjamin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Benjamin was able to grind out a solid win over American Heritage in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
