Eagleville came tearing into Saturday's matchup with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lincoln County Falcons. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Campbell Leathers paced Eagleville's offense, picking up 11 kills. Leathers got some help from Preslee Campbell and her 16 assists. Leathers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lincoln County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lucy Summers, who had 20 assists and seven digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 24 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reese Cunningham, who had five aces.

Eagleville's victory bumped their record up to 28-5. As for Lincoln County, they moved to 20-7 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Eagleville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Coffee County Central on the 20th.
