Football Recap: Trinity Christian Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Trinity Christian extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-1. They took down the Windsor Academy Knights 50-35. The Crusaders pushed the score to 43-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights cut but never quite recovered from.

Jakob Sahli was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 100 yards and one score, and also threw for 114 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Those 100 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Trinity Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 343 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Trinity Christian's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out Dawson Sims. five times. The heavy lifting was done by Cody Register and Jamarion Ricks, who racked up four sacks between them. Register is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last four games he's played.

As for Windsor Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. On the bright side, the 35- point effort marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sims, who threw for 273 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 47 yards and one TD. Santiago Medina also helped with three scores in total.

Looking ahead, Trinity Christian will head out to take on Thomas Jefferson Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Windsor Academy, they will host Briarwood Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
