They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of La Cueva. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bears 14-8 in the first quarter.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kaelynn Ashley, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lailah Bouldin, who earned 12 points plus two steals.
Meanwhile, Volcano Vista gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past Eldorado 68-35. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Hawks had established a 29 point advantage.
