Softball Game Preview: Pine Ridge Panthers vs. Master's Academy Eagles

The Pine Ridge Panthers will square off against the Master's Academy Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Ridge has given up an average of 14.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Pine Ridge is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They lost 13-2 to Seabreeze. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Pine Ridge saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carla Rivera, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that Rivera got this season.

Even though they lost, Pine Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Master's Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Lyman on Thursday and fell 6-5.

Lauren McMeel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Karina Morales was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Master's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Pine Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6-1.

Everything went Pine Ridge's way against Master's Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2022, as Pine Ridge made off with a 14-3 win. Does Pine Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Master's Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
