Basketball Recap: Crisfield Comes Up Short

Crisfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Decatur Seahawks. While losing is never fun, the Crabbers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Seahawks are ranked 47th).

Solomon David went supernova for Decatur, going 7 for 10 en route to 23 points. Those 23 points gave David a new career-high. Judah Carmack was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Crisfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Decatur, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Crisfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-61 defeat against Bennett on the 4th. As for Decatur, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-49 win against Wicomico on the 4th.
