On Wednesday, West Valley faced Hutchison in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The West Valley Wolf Pack blew past the Hutchison Hawks 15-3. The win was some much needed relief for West Valley as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Abbey Anthony was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Anthony was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, West Valley let Kayla Anthony and Makayla Anderson loose on the outfield.
