Softball Recap: Sipsey Valley Comes Up Short

Sipsey Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the Northside Rams. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Sipsey Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Northside, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-8-1 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sipsey Valley will venture away from home to square off against Hale County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Northside, they will head out to face off against John Carroll Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
