Baseball Game Preview: Clewiston Tigers vs. Okeechobee Brahmans

The Clewiston Tigers will square off against the Okeechobee Brahmans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clewiston is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Clewiston needed a bit of extra time to put away LaBelle. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cowboys/Cowgirls. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since February 12th.

Graysen Redish and Jackson Mann made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Redish pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Mann struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Redish has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Redish went 3-for-4 with one RBI, while Mann got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was William Bussott, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Okeechobee came up short against St. Albans on Saturday and fell 6-3.

Clewiston pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Okeechobee, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
