Softball Recap: Eagle Pass Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

While Eagle Pass's victory against Cornerstone Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Eagle Pass skirted past Cornerstone Christian 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Eagle Pass' win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Michelle Torralba, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Torralba has posted since back in February. Alessa Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Eagle Pass' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Cornerstone Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle Pass will welcome Laredo LBJ at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marion at 6:00 p.m. on April 11.
