Basketball Recap: Winthrop College Prep Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Patel

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winthrop College Prep Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Patel Trailblazers 78-51. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-20.

Several Trailblazers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emerald White, who posted ten points. That's the most points White has posted since back in November of 2024. Neveah Davis was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Winthrop College Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-16 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Patel, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

Winthrop College Prep Academy will be playing at home against Four Corners at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Patel, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Canterbury at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canterbury will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Patel surely won't give up without a fight.
