Football Game Preview: Seminole Warhawks vs. Tarpon Springs Spongers

The Seminole Warhawks will challenge the Tarpon Springs Spongers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole hasn't scored more than 13 points for nine games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Seminole's offense might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Countryside on Thursday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 22-0.

Meanwhile, it may have taken triple overtime to finish the job, but Tarpon Springs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They snuck past Clearwater with a 25-19 victory. The Spongers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The win was the third in a row for Tarpon Springs, bringing their record up to 7-6. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.3 points on average over those games. As for Seminole, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Seminole won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, slipping by Tarpon Springs 13-12. Do the Warhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spongers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
