Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Kentridge

Kentridge won the last time they faced Kentwood and things went their way on Tuesday too. Kentridge came out on top against Kentwood by a score of 5-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Chargers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Kentridge got a great performance from Riley Lambarena as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave Lambarena a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Kentridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emanuel Harris, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Owen Finlayson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Kentridge's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Kentwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Kentridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against Kentwood: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
