After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four contests, Cedar Creek finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Quitman Wolverines, falling 10-2. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Cedar Creek's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Quitman, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 17-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Creek will challenge Captain Shreve at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Quitman, they will face off against Oak Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
