Basketball Recap: Saratoga Central Catholic Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Saratoga Central Catholic entered their tilt with Hoosic Valley on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 40-34 win over the Hoosic Valley Hawks. This was a revenge game for the Saints: when they faced off against the Hawks back in December of 2024, they had to take a 54-42 loss.

Saratoga Central Catholic found their leader in sophomore Sophia Ryan, who posted eight points along with 14 boards and eight steals. Maggie Durfee was another key player, putting up five points and four steals.

Saratoga Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Hoosic Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Saratoga Central Catholic is taking a road trip to challenge Cambridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hoosic Valley, they will face off against Saranac Lake at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hoosic Valley is facing Saranac Lake at the right time seeing as Saranac Lake is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
