Softball Recap: Fremont Comes Up Short

After flying high against Elkhart Christian Academy on Monday, Fremont came back down to earth. Fremont fell just short of Churubusco by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Fremont has suffered since April 17th.

Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Churubusco, their record now sits at 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fremont will challenge Fairfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Churubusco, they will take on Woodlan at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
