Softball Recap: Eastern Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

After losing to River Valley the last time they met, Eastern decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Raiders on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Emma Putman 2025 was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Aedre Ault 2028, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Eastern's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for River Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Eastern will venture away from home to take on Athens at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for River Valley, they will welcome Alexander at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
