Volleyball Recap: Celina Falls Short of Lindale in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Celina can now relate to. They fell just short of the Lindale Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Celina came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Despite the defeat, Celina saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addilyn Paulson had 33 digs. Those 33 digs set a new season-high mark for Paulson.

The loss snapped Celina's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 21-25 record. As for Lindale, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 33-14.

Celina does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lindale, they will square off against Decatur on Saturday.
