Soccer Game Preview: Fannin County vs. Gilmer

The Fannin County Rebels are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Gilmer Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Friday, Fannin County didn't have quite enough to beat Union County and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Gilmer was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Lanier by a score of 2-1. The loss was the Bobcats' first of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Joei Marshall, who's now up to four this season.

Fannin County suffered a grim 11-2 defeat to Gilmer in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Fannin County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
