Softball Recap: Dublin Scioto Beats Teays Valley for Their Third Straight Victory

Dublin Scioto extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Teays Valley. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Vikings 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Irish sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Alexis Richie made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over eight innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Richie wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Abbi Clark, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs Clark has posted since back in April.

Dublin Scioto's record now sits at 18-8. As for Teays Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-6.

As of now, neither Dublin Scioto nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
