Baseball Recap: Jerome Takes a Loss

Minico hit Jerome with a five-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Jerome saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sawyer Tilley, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Jerome's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Minico, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Spartans beat Jerome by a score of 2-0 later that day.
