Baseball Recap: Fairland Takes a Loss

Fairland made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Gallia Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Dragons fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 last Monday.

Fairland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Wall, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Fairland has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Gallia Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fairland is set to face off against their familiar foe Chesapeake at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Gallia Academy will square off against rival South Point at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
