If Castle View wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Legacy, they should've done a better job of containing Olivia Mortensen. The Legacy Lightning walked away with a 59-52 win over the Castle View Sabercats on Thursday thanks in part to Mortensen, who dropped a double-double on 41 points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted 18 or more points the last 13 times she's played.
Castle View lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kenzie Tosch, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 16 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Tosch a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivian Yore, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.
Legacy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Castle View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
