Softball Recap: Roby Gets the Win

Roby's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They skirted past the Snyder Tigers 8-6.

Calie Hernandez was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariela Castaneda, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Roby now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Snyder, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-8.

Looking ahead, Roby will welcome Hermleigh at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Snyder, they have already played their next matchup, a 21-3 victory against Liberty on the 11th.
