Baseball Recap: North Schuylkill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Panther Valley on Thursday, North Schuylkill came back down to earth. The Spartans lost 10-4 to the Whitehall Zephyrs on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

North Schuylkill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Rogers, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

North Schuylkill has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Whitehall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Schuylkill will venture away from home to take on Pine Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitehall, they will head out to face off against Allentown Central Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
