Preview: Lutheran South Academy vs. The Woodlands Christian Academy
The Lutheran South Academy Pioneers will stay at home for another game and welcome The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lutheran South Academy has not lost a match since December 15, 2023, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Frassati Catholic a 2-0 shutout. Mason Hoggatt had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Lutheran South Academy got from the refs.
Lutheran South Academy was led to victory by the tag-team duo of Hoggatt and
Brody Smith, who scored both of Lutheran South Academy's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 27 so far this season.
Meanwhile, The Woodlands Christian Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Fort Bend Christian Academy 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for The Woodlands Christian Academy.
Lutheran South Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6-5 record this season. As for The Woodlands Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-7-6.
