Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Heritage Christian Academy lost against Ahoskie Christian back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Heritage Christian Academy Patriots fell to Ahoskie Christian 37-31. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Heritage Christian Academy lost, don't look at Cheyenne Anderson. Despite the final result, she posted 18 points. Anderson's evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tabitha Greene, who scored nine points.

Ahoskie Christian found their leader in freshman Mara Dae White, who went 8 of 19 en route to 21 points and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which White has scored at least a third of Ahoskie Christian's points.

Heritage Christian Academy's record is now 3-10. As for Ahoskie Christian, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Heritage Christian Academy has already played their next match (against Pamlico Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ahoskie Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-30 victory against Unity Christian Academy on the 31st.
