Matthew Bankhead and Mkyel Duncan did most of the damage at the plate: Bankhead went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI, while Duncan scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. Bankhead has become a key player for Thomasville: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-7 otherwise. Travail Barnes was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, West Davidson fell victim to Wheatmore and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 10-0. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

West Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Thomasville, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-7.
