Baseball Recap: Forest City Comes Up Short

Forest City suffered their closest defeat since May 16, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets by a score of 7-5. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Midgets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Forest City's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Forest City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, they will host Unity Christian on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Midgets have won nine straight at home, while the Knights won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
