Football Game Preview: Omaha South Packers vs. Norfolk Panthers

Omaha South is 0-6 against Norfolk since October of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Packers will welcome the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Omaha South is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Elkhorn South on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Packers took a blow against the Storm, falling 63-6. The Packers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three contests, Norfolk finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of Papillion-LaVista South. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Norfolk's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Omaha South, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Omaha South was taken down by Norfolk 55-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Panthers' Cole Signor, who threw for 79 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
