Columbia took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Gainesville Hurricanes. Columbia have beaten Gainesville the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Gainesville has come to flipping the script.

Colyn Weatherspoon and Ryan Steele scored all three of Columbia's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Columbia wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Suwannee on the 5th. As for Gainesville, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against P.K. Yonge on the 5th.
