Volleyball Recap: Bayfield Takes a Loss

Bayfield lost against Loveland back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolverines fell 2-0 to the Red Wolves. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evelette Hollibaugh paced Bayfield's offense, picking up seven kills. Hollibaugh got some help from Avery Shipman and her 12 assists. Shipman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Bayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Loveland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Bayfield and Loveland will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wolverines will take on rival Montezuma-Cortez at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Loveland is set to challenge their familiar foe Fossil Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
