It was a good run, but Katahdin unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 79-72 to the Fort Kent Warriors. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (58), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

Katahdin's loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-3. As for Fort Kent, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Katahdin Cougars challenge the Fort Fairfield Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Katahdin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Fort Fairfield likes a good challenge. As for Fort Kent, they will face off against Madawaska at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madawaska will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Fort Kent surely won't give up without a fight.
