Basketball Recap: Mattoon Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Mattoon finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They were dealt a 68-30 loss at the hands of the Centralia Orphans. The contest marked the Greenwave's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Mattoon moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Centralia, their victory was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
