Soccer Recap: Piedmont Hills Takes a Loss

Piedmont Hills's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 4-2 to the Leigh Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Longhorns are ranked 13th).

Sophia Norton and Natalia Lopez scored both of Piedmont Hills' goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Piedmont Hills now has a losing record at 6-7-6. As for Leigh, their win bumped their record up to 12-1-2.

Coming up, Piedmont Hills will face off against Gilroy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Piedmont Hills is facing Gilroy at the right time seeing as Gilroy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Leigh, they will square off against Branham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
