Woodson extended the longest winning streak in DCIAA - Eastern this week by beating Ballou, 38-12. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Warriors.
Woodson took down the Knights 38-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Anacostia's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. DeQuan Turner threw for 191 and three touchdowns and Laquan Barber had 64 yards receiving. On the ground Yusuf Jones chipped in 49 yards. Don'Tae Lee helped Anacostia's passing attack out by catching four balls for 49 yards.
Anacostia's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Turner has thrown for 1605 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Lee has 38 catches for 620 yards. Barber leads the league in rushing with 302 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Indians and Spingarn. Anacostia enters the game ranked 13th in the state, while the Green Waves ranks 25th.
The Warriors made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,582 from 3,952. The improvement came about via a 38-12 victory over Ballou last week.
