Recap: Purchase Line Red Dragons vs. Harmony Area Owls
The Purchase Line Red Dragons suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2023 on Monday. They were the victim of a tough 75-52 defeat at the hands of Harmony Area. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Purchase Line has suffered against Harmony Area since December 13, 2021.
Several Red Dragons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brock Small, who scored 12 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Owen Misko, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Jack Bracken continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Harmony Area, dropping a double-double on 38 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Bracken has scored at least a third of Harmony Area's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Hagens, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Purchase Line's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Harmony Area, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purchase Line will take on Penns Manor at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Penns Manor is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Harmony Area, they will stay at home for another game and welcome West Branch at 7:15 p.m. on January 29th. West Branch knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 matches -- so hopefully Harmony Area likes a good challenge.
