Baseball Recap: Eight Straight Home Victories for Shawnee

Shawnee took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Paul VI, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Renegades won by a run and slipped past the Eagles 5-4. For the Renegades, this counts as revenge for the 11-4 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Mak Heino, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since April 2nd. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Anderson, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

Shawnee's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Paul VI, their record is now 6-8.
