Volleyball Recap: Vermillion Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Vermillion and Sioux Falls Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Vermillion had to settle for second. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Vermillion was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-22.

Vermillion has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season. As for Sioux Falls Christian, they pushed their record up to 23-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Vermillion nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
