Baseball Recap: Arnold Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

There's no place like home for Arnold, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bozeman Bucks on Thursday, sneaking past 1-0. This was a revenge game for the Marlins: when they faced off against the Bucks back in February, they had to take a 4-2 defeat.

Not much got past Cooper Moss, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Bozeman off the board. Those 14 strikeouts gave Moss a new career-high.

Arnold has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. Bozeman's loss ended a 14-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-3.

Looking ahead, Arnold will face off against Kaneland at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bozeman, they will challenge Cottondale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bozeman's pitchers better be ready for this one: Cottondale has averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
