Football Preview: Burke County Bears vs. Thomson Bulldogs
Burke County has won seven straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Thomson has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. Last Saturday, Burke County humbled Laney with a 43-6 victory. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Wildcats are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 rushing touchdowns per game. Santyler Cartledge was another major influence, as he rushed for 43 yards and ran in a TD.
Thomson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 364 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Burke County's record is now 8-1. As for Thomson, their record is now 7-2.
Friday's match will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Williams and Jeffery. Williams has put up some stellar numbers this year, and currently owns excellent season averages 109.4 rushing yards per game this season. For his part, Jeffery has averaged 134.4 rushing yards per game this season.
