Twin Loup hasn't had much luck against Central Valley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wolves will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Twin Loup comes in on four and Central Valley on 15.
Twin Loup is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Palmer to the tune of 61-14 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-8.
Twin Loup's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Bottorf, who rushed for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries. Oran Grint was another key back, rushing for 65 yards and two scores on only six carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Twin Loup was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 277 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Twin Loup, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Carter Hall, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Central Valley never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 46-0 victory over Burwell. Fans of the Cougars have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Central Valley's win came from a few key players Twin Loup will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was William Pokorny, who rushed for 59 yards and one TD. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up 0.5 sacks and made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss). Another player making a difference was Lincoln Nekoliczak, who threw for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes.

Twin Loup's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Central Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Twin Loup has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 226.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Central Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 254.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Twin Loup was taken down by Central Valley 58-13 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Wolves, Zaden Wolf (who rushed for 216 yards and four scores on only seven carries, and also threw for 57 yards and a pair of TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
