Soccer Recap: Gilmer Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gilmer can now relate to. They lost 10-0 to the Cherokee Bluff Bears on Monday. Gilmer were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than four goals in the three matches prior), but Cherokee Bluff's defense proved too tough.

Gilmer's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. As for Cherokee Bluff, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Gilmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cherokee Bluff, they will square off against Jefferson on Thursday. Cherokee Bluff will need to watch out since Jefferson have now posted at least four goals in their last five matches.
